Wine Spectator 92 Points - Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast 2006April 2009
The most complex and complete of the 2006 Freemans, this is fragrant, with wilted rose petal, blackberry and wild berry and hints of loamy earth. Both supple and firm on the finish. Drink now through 2014.—J.L.

Wine Enthusiast Wine for VegetarianMarch 2009
Wine recommendation: Earthy mushrooms and garlic are a natural match for Pinot Noir; try 2006 Freeman "Akiko's Cuvee" Pinot Noir from the cool Sonoma coast, which has many layer of flavor that will complement the tart.

PINOT REPORT 95 Points - Pinot Noir Russian River Valley Keefer Ranch Vineyard 2006December 2008
MAKE ROOM IN THE CELLAR!
"Big and rich…"
Medium-deep ruby color; complex spice, rose and cherry aromas; rich and ripe with a core of juicy cherry fruit; spicy and sweet oak notes; silky texture; good structure and balance; long finish. Big and rich, this bottling has the core of juicy fruit I find in most wines from Keefer Ranch. The 2006 seems to have bit more tannin and will reward some cellar patience. Keefer Ranch is located in the Russian River Valley roughly west of the town of Graton, on Green Valley School Road.
