We are pleased to offer tasting visits, by appointment, in the Winery Cave or the Redwood Grove, adjacent to our first estate vineyard, Gloria Vineyard. In the quiet ambiance of the cave, you will savor Freeman’s lineup of acclaimed small-lot Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays from the West Sonoma Coast and Green Valley of the Russian River Valley. If you're visiting Freeman for the first time, we recommend the more in-depth Estate Cave Tasting for a deeper look into our wines and story. If you've been here before, are traveling with pups, or prefer a more relaxed picnic vibe, the Redwood Grove Tasting is a great fit. Either way, you'll be enjoying the same beautiful Freeman wines — just in the setting that suits you best.
Estate Cave Tasting
- The Cave tasting experience is private and explores current vintage wines
- The wines are a selection of West Sonoma Coast and Russian River Chardonnay & Pinot Noir bottlings

Redwood Grove Tasting
- This self-guided outdoor tasting takes place at a shaded picnic table nestled in the estate’s Redwood Grove, offering a relaxed tasting experience.
- Enjoy current release wines, including Chardonnay and Pinot Noir bottlings.
- Guests are welcome to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy during the tasting.
- Optional Charcuterie Board available Friday–Sunday: $25 per board (serves 2). Please note in your booking comments how many you'd like to add — 24-hour advance notice is required.
- Dog friendly.
- 90-minute maximum experience time.
- Group size limited to six* people.
